It’s been a busy couple months for the Great Lakes ladies! We have started some serious prep for Miss Indiana and we cannot believe that kickoff is just over 2 months away! Here’s what our beauties have been up to!
MISS GREAT LAKES:
Madelyn has been hitting the books hard and continuing to cheer at Notre Dame, but she’s also been a presence in the community both in Michiana and back home! We’ll give just a brief synopsis of her adventures since she plans to do a Queen’s Spotlight again in the near future!
She led a junior retreat at her high school, specifically discussing her journey with Christ and leading these young women on an emotional and spiritual journey. She was so humbled to be a part of it! !)
She also had the opportunity to judge the Miss ND pageant alongside forever Miss South Bend 2016, Gina Klingel! Fun fact: Her dorm won!
Oh, and she was pretty excited about her wardrobe pieces from Ashley Rene’s!
MISS GREAT LAKES’ OUTSTANDING TEEN
AnnaBella has been exemplifying each point of the crown in every aspect of her life!
SUCCESS:
AnnaBella continues to be a key player on her traveling soccer team. Today she won both games! She balances her title, soccer, school, music, and service beautifully!
STYLE:
AB also said YES to the most incredible dresses last weekend for talent and evening gown! Her style is classic and reminds us of Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O (who are favorites of the Great Lakes Crew!), and we love helping her pick her wardrobe pieces!
SERVICE:
AnnaBella has over 250 hours of community service (Can we get a WOOT WOOT!?) and rarely turns down an opportunity to serve her community.
She recently did some volunteer work with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and helped watch the precious 2-3 year olds!
She also was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award! Although she was disappointed she did not advance to the next level and have the opportunity to visit the White House, she feels honored to have received the congratulations from President Trump and, more importantly, to be able to serve her community and her state–which included the opportunity to spend the day with Senator Sue Glick! Senator Glick sent a card and photo to AnnaBella and told her to keep up the good work and her thirst and enthusiasm for knowledge and for her passion for government!
SCHOLARSHIP:
In addition to holding a 4.0 GPA AnnaBella was recently accepted into Canterbury High School in Fort Wayne. In addition to being accepted, she was also awarded the prestigious Malone Scholarship which pays for 90% of her tuition for the next 4 years! We are so proud of her!
