MISS GREAT LAKES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Miss Great Lakes Organization is a scholarship program within the Miss America Organization and our titleholders represent the Northwest Indiana and Michiana Regions (LaPorte, Lake, Porter, Jasper, Newton, St. Joseph, Marshall, Starke, Fulton, & Pulaski counties) in the Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen competitions with the goal of representing Indiana at Miss America.
Rich in history and social significance, the Miss Indiana Scholarship Competition is a not-for-profit corporation that has maintained a tradition for many decades of empowering Indiana women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent, and intelligence.
In order for a young woman to compete in the Miss Indiana Program, they must have won a local program just like ours who send candidates to Zionsville, IN for the state competition in June each year. Indiana sends one of our finest ladies to Atlantic City to compete for the title of Miss America, where over $40 Million dollars in cash scholarships are made available to the 51 state candidates.
For paperwork and more information about competing, visit the “BECOME A CANDIDATE” tab on our page.
