Welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to consider competing for the Miss Great Lakes & Miss South Bend Scholarship Pageant–a local preliminary competition within the Miss Indiana and Miss America Organizations. We are extremely excited to provide you with the 2021 Competition Information! We have an incredible team that aims to make not only a memorable pageant day but also a great year for the future Miss Great Lakes and Miss South Bend and Outstanding Teens.
Once again this year, we will be giving out four titles! Miss Great Lakes & Miss South Bend as well as Miss Great Lakes’ and Miss South Bend’s Outstanding Teen will all be crowning their successors on August 28, 2021. This means you have double the chance of taking home a crown when you compete!

Location: Boone Grove High School

Tentative Schedule: 8:30 AM – Check-In/Orientation/Opening Number Practice, 10:00 AM – Interviews begin, talent rehearsals in between, 12:00 PM – Break for lunch/last minute rehearsals, 2:00 PM – Doors Open, 2:30 PM – SHOW TIME!
Miss Eligibility*: Counties of Fulton, Lake, LaPorte, Marshall, Porter, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Jasper, and Newton and the colleges in these counties.
*All miss candidates are eligible for both the Great Lakes and South Bend titles.

TODAY: All candidate paperwork is available! Please see the “Miss South Bend and Miss Great Lakes Checklist” to assist in completing all paperwork. Once completed, please email all documents to MGL.MSB.paperwork@gmail.com. We will send a confirmation of receipt of documents as we receive them.

ENTRANCE PRE-QUALIFICATIONS
- Miss: As of 2021, Miss America has cut ties with the Children’s Miracle Network. There is now an initial registration fee of $35 for the Miss America system and a $75 registration fee for each pageant completed during the season.
- Teen: $35 registration fee for the MAOTeen organization and entrance fee of $100 is due prior to competition. You may mail it ahead of time, bring it the morning of, or pay via Venmo / Paypal. Please note that if payment is not received by the end of morning check-in, you will be unable to compete unless prior arrangements have been made due to extenuating circumstances.
